4 releasesWhat to read in February

The Two-Body Problem by Ali Hazelwood — 2 February
Olive and Adam’s story continues beyond The Love Hypothesis. Research careers, the demands of academic work and the practical business of building a life together shape this sequel. This is the February pick for readers who would like to spend longer with a couple after the first book’s ending; read their original story first.

Merciful Carnage by Sara Hashem — 2 February
A healer’s unusual immortality draws the attention of an immortal ruler while her community desperately needs a cure. This new dark fantasy duology offers a fresh starting point rather than a long backlist to catch up on. Put it first if you prefer high stakes, ominous attraction and romance tangled up with survival.

The Blade and the Last Sacrifice by Elizabeth May — 16 February
Royal power and difficult loyalties complicate a hostile protector’s assignment. The bodyguard dynamic is sharpened by an investigation that gives him reasons to distrust the family he serves. This is a Broken Accords sequel, so make space for the first book before release day. A February option for court intrigue with teeth.

Champagne Problems by Hannah Grace — 16 February
A Formula 1 driver and a woman determined to stop dating athletes meet again through her work. Ivy’s rules collide with Saint’s interest in a second opportunity, giving the new In the Paddock series a reunion-centred beginning. Choose it for sporting ambition, flirtation and the tension between a casual arrangement and wanting something more.
Choose your February reading mood
For an existing couple, choose The Two-Body Problem. For a new fantasy starting point, try Merciful Carnage. For a sequel with court intrigue, catch up on Broken Accords. For contemporary sports romance, save a place for Champagne Problems. The two 16 February titles offer very different moods despite sharing a date.
